Department of History Workshop for FT & PT Staff (2026/27)
The Department of History at Hong Kong Shue Yan University successfully held its workshop for full-time and part-time teaching staff for the 2026/27 academic year. Members of the Department gathered to discuss teaching and administrative arrangements for the new academic year.
Professor He Qiliang, Professor and Head of the Department, opened the workshop by outlining the Department’s development priorities for the coming year. Staff members then reviewed and discussed revisions to the course outlines for the 2026/27 academic year.
Dr Agnes Pang Suk Man, Associate Professor and Associate Head of the Department, subsequently briefed colleagues on the key points covered in the workshops organised by the Advancement of Teaching and Learning Committee (ATLC), as well as the relevant requirements of the Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC).
Finally, Dr Kwan Kai Wan introduced a new academic integrity solution. He provided a detailed overview of the latest Turnitin features and procedures, together with the University’s guidelines on the use of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) in teaching and assessment.
The workshop facilitated professional exchange among the Department’s full-time and part-time teaching staff and laid a solid foundation for enhancing teaching quality and upholding academic integrity in the new academic year.
