HKSYU Department of History Academic Lecture

Co-organised by the Department of History, Hong Kong Shue Yan University and the Loke Kok Kuen Chinese Cultural Legacy Research Trust, this academic lecture will be held on 28 March (Friday). We are honoured to invite Professor Deng Xiaonan, Boya Chair Professor Emerita of Peking University, to deliver a talk titled “How to understand Song Dynasty”.

Professor Deng Xiaonan is an internationally renowned scholar. Her major works—songdai wenguan xuanren zhiduzhucengmian, Invoking imperial ancestors' instructions in early Northern Song politics, and keji,zige,kaocha-tangsongwenguan kaohezhidu cetan, Langrun xueshi conggao, changlu:Deng Xiaonan xueshuwenhua suibi, and songdai wenguan zhidu liuti —are essential readings in the field.
