Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HKSYU) is committed to promoting the development of digital humanities and knowledge transfer. Prof. He Qiliang, Head of the Department of History and Dr. Pang Suk-Man, Associate Head of the Department of History, together with Dr.Lee-Ka Man, Assistant Vice President, Head of the Department of Journalism and Communication, Mr. So Kai-Chi, Associate Professor of Practice, Dr. Tsang Chung-Kin, Associate Head of the Department of Sociology, are working on a cross-disciplinary project to develop a unique guided tour of Hong Kong's tramway heritage. The programme will provide the travel trade with a fresh academic perspective on the special attractions and historic buildings along the tram route on Hong Kong Island, allowing the first batch of delegation members to explore Hong Kong's unique cultural connotations through interactive exchanges.

Scholars from Hong Kong Shue Yan University (HKSYU) collaborated with Tramplus and S.K.H. St Michael's Primary School to organise the 'Tram Guided Tours', in which six primary school students became docents. During this three-hour journey, they applied the historical background, guiding, and storytelling skills learned in the workshop to promote the conservation of cultural heritage and tell the Hong Kong story to several academic advisors from the university, research project partners, representatives from primary and secondary schools, and representatives from the tourism and cultural sectors.
